Chemical Peels
Not Skincare-Grade. Not Pre-Packaged. Truly Customized.
At Skin Revival, our chemical peels are not off-the-shelf skincare products and not “one-formula-fits-all” treatments.
Our peels are medical-grade and compounded at a licensed pharmacy, allowing us to work with over 10 different peel formulations. This gives us the ability to properly tailor each treatment based on your skin condition, tolerance, history, and goals — not just your skin type.
This level of customization is what separates clinical peeling from cosmetic exfoliation.
| Chemical Peel | $150-295 |
| MicroPeel | $255 |
| Algae Peel | $450 |
Why Pharmacy-Compounded Peels Matter
Many clinics rely on skincare-grade peels that come pre-mixed, pre-branded, and limited in strength or flexibility.
Pharmacy-compounded peels allow us to:
-
Select from multiple active acids and combinations
-
Adjust strength, depth, and delivery
-
Address complex or stubborn skin concerns
-
Safely treat skin that may not respond to standard peels
-
Modify protocols based on season, skin condition, and response
This is especially important for concerns such as:
-
Acne and congestion
-
Pigmentation and post-inflammatory marks
-
Uneven texture
-
Aging and collagen stimulation
-
Skin that has plateaued with traditional treatments
Over 10 Peel Options — One Personalized Plan
We work with a broad range of medical-grade peel formulations, which allows us to:
-
Choose the right peel — not the most aggressive one
-
Layer or alternate peels strategically over time
-
Combine peels with other treatments for enhanced results
-
Adjust treatment as your skin evolves
Your skin is not static — and your peel protocol shouldn’t be either.
What a Medical-Grade Chemical Peel Does
A properly selected chemical peel creates a controlled exfoliation that triggers:
-
Accelerated cell turnover
-
Collagen and elastin stimulation
-
Reduction in breakouts and congestion
-
Improvement in pigmentation and tone
-
Smoother texture and refined pores
-
Brighter, clearer skin
Visible peeling may or may not occur — and is not the measure of success.
What is a Chemical Peel?
Traditional chemical peels are used for deeper wrinkles and damage in the skin. Based on your level of damage and the type of skin you have, our technicians will select a type of peel and strength that is right for you.
We have partnered with the founder of BioCella, Dr. Caughell, to bring you the widest range of chemical peels available. Unlike a lot of skin care grade chemical peels our peels are compounded directly from the pharmacy, giving us the ability to have a much wider range of chemicals, blends and strengths.
Chemical Peels as a Strategic Tool
At Skin Revival, chemical peels are rarely used in isolation.
They are often incorporated into custom treatment plans and may be paired with:
-
Laser or IPL
-
Microneedling or RF microneedling
-
Hydrafacial or OxyGeneo
-
Barrier repair and targeted home care
This layered approach allows us to maximize results while protecting the skin’s integrity.
Consultation Is Essential
Because our peels are medical-grade and fully customizable, a consultation is required.
Your consultation allows us to:
-
Assess your skin condition and history
-
Determine which peel — or combination — is appropriate
-
Decide on timing, prep, and post-care
-
Identify when peeling is helpful — and when it’s not
In some cases, strengthening the skin barrier comes before peeling — and that decision is always made in your best interest.
The Skin Revival Difference
Chemical peels require experience, restraint, and strategy.
Our clients choose Skin Revival because:
-
We do not rely on pre-packaged solutions
-
Treatments are guided by clinical knowledge, not trends
-
Long-term skin health always comes first
-
Results are built thoughtfully, not rushed
What is an "Algae" Peel and how is it different from a chemical peel?
An Algae peel (often referred to as bio-microneedling) is a non-acid resurfacing treatment that uses microscopic spicules derived from marine algae to stimulate the skin.
Instead of dissolving bonds between skin cells like a chemical peel, an algae peel works through mechanical stimulation. The spicules create thousands of micro-channels in the skin, triggering:
-
Increased cell turnover
-
Collagen stimulation
-
Improved texture and clarity
These spicules naturally shed from the skin over several days as the skin renews itself.
Key Differences Between an Algae Peel and a Chemical Peel
| Algae Peel | Chemical Peel |
|---|---|
| Non-acid, mechanical resurfacing | Acid-based, controlled exfoliation |
| Uses marine spicules to stimulate renewal | Uses acids to break down dead skin cells |
| No chemical penetration | Depth controlled by acid type and strength |
| Can feel “prickly” during and after treatment | Sensation ranges from mild to intense warmth |
| Gradual shedding over several days | Peeling may be minimal or more visible, depending on depth |
When We May Choose an Algae Peel
An algae peel may be selected when:
-
Skin is not tolerating acids well
-
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) is a concern
-
We want resurfacing without acid exposure
-
Skin needs stimulation but has barrier sensitivity
It can be an excellent alternative — or complement — to chemical peels in certain cases.
When a Chemical Peel Is More Appropriate
A chemical peel may be preferred when:
-
Targeting acne, congestion, or oil imbalance
-
Addressing pigmentation or uneven tone
-
Treating texture, fine lines, or sun damage
-
Using pharmacy-compounded formulas for precise control
Because chemical peels can be compounded and customized, they offer more flexibility in depth and formulation.
Which One Is Right for You?
Neither treatment is “better” — they are different tools.
At Skin Revival, the decision is based on:
-
Your skin condition and history
-
Current inflammation or sensitivity
-
Your goals and timeline
-
How your skin has responded to past treatments
In some treatment plans, algae peels and chemical peels are used strategically at different stages to support optimal skin renewal.
What is the difference between the 3 levels of chemical peels?
The three peel levels refer to the depth and intensity of skin renewal, not a specific product or formula.
Because our peels are medical-grade and pharmacy-compounded, each level is customized within that category based on your skin’s needs, tolerance, and goals.
Think of the levels as a framework, not a fixed recipe.
Level 1: Light / Corrective Peel
Level 1 peels focus on gentle exfoliation and skin correction with little to no downtime.
These peels are often used to:
-
Brighten dull skin
-
Improve mild congestion
-
Support acne management
-
Refresh uneven tone
-
Prep the skin for more advanced treatments
You may experience minimal dryness or flaking, but most clients return to normal activities immediately.
Ideal for:
First-time peel clients, maintenance treatments, or skin that needs correction without downtime.
Level 2: Moderate / Corrective + Stimulative Peel
Level 2 peels work deeper within the skin to address more established concerns while still prioritizing skin safety.
These peels may be used to:
-
Improve acne and post-acne marks
-
Address pigmentation and sun damage
-
Refine texture and pores
-
Stimulate collagen and cell turnover
Mild to moderate peeling, redness, or dryness may occur for several days, depending on the formulation used.
Ideal for:
Clients ready for visible correction and more active skin renewal.
Level 3: Advanced / Resurfacing Peel
Level 3 peels are designed for advanced skin resurfacing and are used more selectively.
They target:
-
Stubborn pigmentation
-
More significant texture concerns
-
Early signs of aging
-
Skin that has plateaued with lighter treatments
These peels involve more noticeable downtime and require strict post-care and sun protection.
Because of their strength, Level 3 peels are only performed when the skin is properly prepared and the timing is appropriate.
Ideal for:
Experienced peel clients seeking deeper correction under professional supervision.
Why the Level Matters — and Why Customization Still Comes First
While peel levels help guide expectations, the specific peel, formulation, and protocol are always customized.
Two clients receiving a “Level 2 peel” may not receive the same acids, strengths, or combinations — because their skin is different.
At Skin Revival, the goal is not to choose the strongest peel — it’s to choose the right peel.
How We Decide Which Level Is Right for You
Your provider will consider:
-
Your skin condition and history
-
Sensitivity and barrier health
-
Past reactions to treatments
-
Lifestyle, season, and sun exposure
-
Your goals and recovery tolerance
In some cases, results are best achieved by progressing through levels over time, rather than jumping to a deeper peel too quickly.
Risks, Safety & Realistic Expectations
Why Experience and Customization Matter
Chemical peels are highly effective — but they are not universally safe for every skin type, concern, or situation.
The safety and success of a chemical peel depends on:
-
Skin type and tone
-
Skin condition and barrier health
-
History of pigmentation or scarring
-
Previous reactions to treatments
-
Proper peel selection and strength
-
Correct pre- and post-care
This is why experience matters.
Not All Peels Are Safe for All Skin Types
Certain peels, acid combinations, or depths may increase the risk of:
-
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)
-
Prolonged redness or irritation
-
Barrier disruption
-
Uneven results
This is especially important for deeper skin tones, sensitive skin, acne-prone skin, or clients with a history of pigmentation.
At Skin Revival, we work with a wide range of pharmacy-compounded peels, allowing us to choose the safest and most effective option for your individual skin — rather than forcing your skin to fit a limited menu.
Why a Wide Range of Peels = Safer, Better Results
Having access to multiple medical-grade peel formulations allows us to:
-
Select peels appropriate for all skin types and tones
-
Adjust strength without compromising safety
-
Avoid unnecessary inflammation
-
Treat complex or combination concerns
-
Modify protocols if skin response changes
This flexibility is critical in preventing complications and ensuring long-term skin health.
Setting Realistic Expectations
Chemical peels are not instant fixes — and stronger is not always better.
Results depend on:
-
The depth of peel selected
-
Consistency and treatment planning
-
Skin’s natural healing response
-
Proper home care and sun protection
Some improvements are seen quickly, while others build gradually over a series of treatments.
Visible peeling does not equal better results — and in many cases, minimal peeling is intentional.
Our Responsibility — and Yours
We believe in full transparency.
Our responsibility:
-
Choose the safest, most appropriate peel
-
Educate you on expected outcomes and recovery
-
Protect your skin’s long-term health
Your responsibility:
-
Follow pre- and post-care instructions
-
Avoid sun exposure and heat when advised
-
Communicate any concerns during recovery
This partnership is what creates predictable, beautiful results.
Why Consultation Is Non-Negotiable
Because chemical peels are medical-grade and fully customized, consultation is essential.
In some cases, we may recommend:
-
Delaying a peel until the barrier is stronger
-
Choosing a lighter peel initially
-
Using an alternative treatment altogether
This is never a limitation — it’s how we deliver the safest and most effective care possible.
Find out if peels are right for you
Not every skin concern benefits from peeling — and not every peel is right for every skin type.
A consultation allows us to assess your skin, discuss your goals, and determine whether a chemical peel, an alternative treatment, or a combination approach will best support your long-term skin health.
