Unlike laser hair removal, electrolysis does not rely on pigment, making it effective for all hair colours and skin tones.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are often complementary, not competing, treatments.

Many clients use laser for bulk reduction and electrolysis to finish areas completely.

Unfortunately, there is no specific number of sessions. Electrolysis is very much dependent on the amount of hair involved and the client’s tolerance. We often suggest giving yourself a 6 to 12 month window to complete a specific area. With each electrolysis session you can expect hairs to begin to grow slower, finer and then eventually less and less.

Treatment Process
Each session targets visible hair present at the time of treatment. Because hair grows in cycles, multiple sessions are required to permanently treat all follicles in the area.

Sensation
Most clients describe the sensation as a brief heat or pinch. Comfort is always monitored, and settings are adjusted as needed.

Results Timeline
Permanent hair removal with electrolysis is gradual. With consistency and proper spacing, hair becomes finer, sparser, and eventually eliminated.

The length of each electrolysis session is dependent on the amount of hair involved and the tolerance of the patient. During your consultation the technician will make recommendations for session length and frequency, based on your individual needs.

At Skin Revival, electrolysis is offered as a specialized, supportive service rather than a primary solution for large areas. We most commonly use electrolysis to treat grey, white, or light hairs that do not respond to laser hair removal, as well as for precision touch-ups following laser treatments to fully complete an area.

Because electrolysis permanently treats each hair follicle individually, it is a time-intensive process. For this reason, we are unable to take on large treatment areas. Our focus is on smaller, targeted zones where electrolysis delivers the greatest benefit and efficiency.

This approach allows us to support clients who need permanent removal of remaining hairs while ensuring treatments are performed with the care, consistency, and time commitment required for successful results.
