When it comes to minimally invasive treatments, Microneedling or Collagen Induction Therapy with the Dermaroller® is perhaps the most successful treatment available for the common signs and symptoms of aging such as wrinkles, loss of skin volume, and crepey skin.
Collagen Induction Therapy is clinically proven to promote skin repair and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scars, stretch marks and other signs of aging. At Skin Revival we believe in providing only the best quality of service and equipment. This is why we use the Dermaroller® and eDermastamp® – the only micro-needling equipment which is Health Canada approved. It is clinically proven, precision manufactured, medical-grade technology.
What Are the Benefits of Micro-Needling?
Treatment with either Dermaroller® or eDermastamp® is comfortable, with mild to no discomfort. Skin may be slightly sensitive and red immediately post-procedure, but calms within a matter of hours. This high result, low downtime procedure makes it one of the most sought-after treatments on today’s market. The skin will continue to repair itself over the few weeks to follow, improving in both texture and tone.
The Dermaroller® micro-needling treatment targets the epidermis in such a way which is clinically proven to minimize scars and stretch marks. Dermaroller® therapy triggers the body’s spontaneous healing process, stimulating cell proliferation and causing the formation of new collagen. This results in a thicker, more supple, cellular matrix. Results: visibly younger looking skin.
What is Dermaroller®?
The Dermaroller® causes minimally invasive precision micro-injuries of the epidermis and dermis, without causing open wounds or ablative damage. The puncturing channels close after a short time and these micro-injuries trigger the body’s wound healing cascade, which induces an increased collagen production in the treated skin.
Dermaroller® triggers the construction of new tissue by stimulating healthy cell regeneration in precision-targeted areas that show the signs of aging. It effectively reduces wrinkles, tightens and thickens the skin, and – perhaps most impressively – fills and smooths scars.
What is eDermastamp®?
Unlike the traditional roller, eDermastamp® is an electric micro-needling device with a strong electric motor guaranteeing continuous operation with 50 to 150 pricks per second. Six fine precision micro-needles from medical grade stainless steel is the optimal number for minimal invasive penetration forces as well as minimal tissue trauma.
Does Microneedling Hurt?
Prior to the procedure we use a topical numbing agent in order to minimize discomfort. You will feel a vibration and a slight prickling sensation, however the treatment should be fairly comfortable. Immediately post-treatment your skin may feel warm and sensitive to the touch, similar to a sunburn.
Is There Any Downtime?
We suggest avoiding makeup for the rest of the day, however any post-procedural redness can easily be covered the next day. Skin will feel tight and dry, therefore a hydrating solution should be applied frequently.
How Soon Can I Expect to See Results From Microneedling?
Results may be noticed within as little as 1 week post-treatment, however it can take as long as 12 weeks to see the full effects.
What is TriFractional?
TriFractional is a 1-pulse fractional technology that removes pinpoint size spots of tissue on the epidermis and penetrates 0.2 mm deep. Each pin slides into the epidermis and gradually and superficially renews a wide surface area of tissue due to its unique conus shape.
This creates micro-wounds which trigger the body’s natural healing response mechanism, inducing neocollagenesis of fibroblast cells and creating healthy skin tissue.
After treatment, the untreated areas function as healing centres, promoting effective skin renewal. This is especially effective for textural issues on face or body.
TriFractional treatments have been clinically proven to:
- Reduce wrinkles and fine lines
- Contour and lift the face
- Tighten and firm the skin
- Improve the appearance of scars (acne, stretch marks)
- Minimize skin pigmentation
Does the TriFractional Treatment Hurt?
Prior to the procedure we use a topical numbing agent in order to minimize discomfort. You can expect to feel some heat as well as a pinching feeling. Post treatment skin will feel similar to a sunburn.
Is There Any Downtime?
Yes. Generally it takes client 4-7 days to fully recover from the treatment. Immediately post-treatment, your skin will feel sunburnt and tight. Once the micro-injuries have healed, the skin will have a tiny grid on it. This can be covered with make up for the most part. Your skin will feel dry and tight, so keeping it hydrated is imperative for fast healing.
How Soon Can I Expect to See Results from TriFractional?
Your skin will continue to improve for months after the treatment. As we are working from the inside out, it takes time for the body to get rid of the damaged cells and produce new healthy cell tissues. The results are worth the wait!
During your consult, a trained technician will evaluate your skin, perform a short demonstration of the treatment, and quote you a price. The consult fee is applied to any package should you decide to proceed with us.
